About Purple Beret Studio

Art and meaningful keepsakes

Purple Beret Studio brings together original paintings and Communion of Saints collectible cards. Through art, stories, and thoughtful details, this little studio hopes to offer something beautiful to treasure and something meaningful to share.

Communion of Saints is our Catholic card collection, with companion guides that help readers get to know the Saints beyond their names.

About the collection

What is an Apostle?

The word apostle means “one who is sent.” Jesus chose the Twelve to remain with Him, learn from Him, and be sent out to proclaim the Kingdom of God. They became witnesses to His ministry and, after His Resurrection, helped carry the Gospel to the world.

They were not perfect men. They misunderstood, doubted, argued, failed, and needed mercy. Yet Jesus continued to form them. Their lives remind us that holiness is not about beginning perfectly. It is about answering Christ’s call and allowing His grace to transform us.

“As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” John 20:21, NABRE

Why these cards?

Communion of Saints was created to help us know the Saints beyond their names. Each collectible card offers a doorway into a fuller story here on the website.

My prayer is that their lives reassure us that becoming holy is not easy, but with God’s grace, we can keep trying. Never give up.

Accuracy and sources

How the stories were checked

The profiles begin with Sacred Scripture and use official Catholic sources for teaching, feast days, and approved devotional language. When an identity, authorship, mission, martyrdom account, patronage, or symbol comes from tradition rather than an explicit biblical statement, the profile says so.

Card subtitles created for this collection are also identified as descriptive or devotional titles. They are not presented as official titles of the Church.

Frequently asked questions

What comes with each collection?

Each regular collection contains 12 cards. The Twelve Apostles set is ₱499, the Apostolic and Early Fathers set is ₱550, and the Marian set is ₱600.

Who receives a limited special edition card?

For the Apostolic and Early Fathers and Marian collections, the first 36 customers of each collection receive its special companion card with their set: Saint Michael for the Fathers and Saint Gabriel for Marian. The Apostles special-card allocation has already been filled, so current Apostle orders receive the regular 12 cards. Message us to confirm remaining eligibility before ordering.

How do I place an order?

Message Purple Beret Studio on Facebook. Tell us which collection you want, how many sets you would like, and your city or area. We will confirm availability, special-card eligibility, payment details, and handover arrangements in our conversation.

When will the sets be ready?

The earliest target availability for current set orders is November 28–29, 2026. This is a tentative schedule. We will confirm the timing for your order through Facebook.

How can I receive my order?

Pickup, Lalamove, meetup, or collection at an event may be arranged, depending on your location and our schedule. Confirm the arrangement and any delivery charges with us before payment.

Can I request personalized cards?

Yes. Visit Custom Saint Cards to explore existing designs, personalization, and a new design for a celebration. Custom orders have their own quotation and preparation schedule. The set availability date above does not automatically apply to a custom order.

Why are there different card numbers?

The Apostles use 001–012, and the Fathers continue with 013–024. The Marian collection uses M01–M12 because these cards concern the same Blessed Virgin Mary under different apparition titles. Limited special editions have their own markings and are separate from the regular twelve-card collection.

Are the Marian cards about different Marys?

No. They all refer to the one Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus. Each guide explains a different place, reported encounter, and message, together with its place in the Church. The messages invite us to live the Gospel and draw closer to Christ.

Is every title, symbol, and scene based on historical facts?

The guides distinguish Scripture, Church teaching, recorded history, later tradition, and artistic choices. Some subtitles were created for this collection. The chibi portraits and decorative details are artistic interpretations. Refer to each guide’s explanation and sources for the particular card.

How do I use the companion guides?

Choose a card from its collection. Start with the story, then explore its meaning, symbols, patronage or Marian title, prayer, and sources. Use the section menu or the Expand all and Collapse all buttons to read at your own pace.

May I print or share the free Saint Carlo card?

The Saint Carlo page offers the designated free front and back. You may print them at your own expense and share copies as gifts or for free distribution. Keep the Purple Beret Studio credit visible. Not for resale. This permission applies to that free download, not to every card design.
